Hi, I’m Corinne!

Ever since I could remember, I’ve been passionate about how “stuff” worked. Every Christmas season, I’d anticipate the weekend my parents would take my sister and I to see the Nutcracker. I’d stare at Mother Ginger’s giant hoopskirt and wonder, “how’d they do that?”. Since then, figuring out how “theatre magic” works keeps me going, keeps me thinking, keeps me passionate.

Growing up with Chicago as my backyard, the experiences I’ve gained from local arts opportunities has been invaluable. I’ve been able to see professional theatre from a young age, and for that I am incredibly grateful.

My learning as a student with a passion in stage management has been entirely organic. For years, my school has not been able to have a long-standing technical director, and therefore, the stage management position has been almost nonexistent. This however has allowed me, as an artist, to expand my leadership capabilities in other technical aspects of theatre, those essential to becoming a full well-rounded stage manager. Through my exploration in this field, I have come to learn my craft on a fundamental level.

I hope in wherever I go next, I can keep thinking, keep creating, and keep figuring out how “stuff” works.
